IRSA joins the European Road Safety Charter
April 10, 2006
On the 31st of March 2006, the International Road Safety Academy Association (IRSA) has officially been accepted as partner in the European Road Safety Charter, one of the main European Commission initiatives to reach the overall objective of halving the number of road fatalities by 2010 as set in the White Paper on transport policy in 2001.
IRSA – Association is the first organisation in the Netherlands that commits itself, through all its Regional Centres throughout Europe, to share the responsibility of “halving the number of road accident victims in the EU until 2010”.
We are given the liberty to use the label and logo of the ERSC as long as it represents the responsibilities and tasks undertaken by IRSA for improving road safety within this initiative; IRSA’s commitment and responsibilities are formulated in the signatory contract between our organisation and ERSC which you can find in the pdf file below along with the official letter of acceptance from the European Road Safety Charter.
Also, on our official web site www.irsa-association.org a special section will be created for our programmes and actions within the European Road Safety Charter initiative where our activity reports and all other documents related to the ERSC will be published.
Last but not least, the logo and direct link to the European Road Safety Charter web site will be placed on our internet site with the precise purpose to share useful and reliable road safety information as well as to encourage other organisations and companies to join.
