It has a static number of about 600 000 readers in Turkey and is also published in Paris, Frankfurt and in New York.

Turkey has taken the necessary precautions to reduce traffic accidents. In the near future a number of 3000 digital traffic cameras will be installed expecting to lower the number of accidents with 30%, within a complex road safety pilot project.

Specifically, the project is about testing and applying a new financial principle in the road safety field: “violators pay”, according to the model project implemented for the first time in the world in Romania.

This consists of financing the necessary enforcement equipment from the funds generated trough the traffic fines cashed by the equipment itself.
Along with the implementation of this project, The International Road Safety Academy Association (IRSA – Association) and the newly found IRSA – Turkey Association will organize special trainings conducted by international road safety experts for the Turkish authorities.
For the implementation of the road safety pilot project in Istanbul, an agreement has been signed between IRSA Association, The Ministry of Interior and The Municipality of Istanbul and the project will start immediately after the new traffic legislation comes into effect.
