SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Graduated from Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic and awarded degree in journalism and publicity. From 1981 – 1998 worked in various media and advertising agencies including Czech TV. In 2000 joined the Ministry of Transport, Senior Officer of Road Safety Unit, responsible for campaigns and cooperation with mass media. Involved in various international projects, including EUROBOB and EUCHIRES. In 2003 personally contributed to foundation of WRSN – World Road Safety Network in New Delhi, India. Member of the international jury of the Road Safety Film Festival in Paris in 2004 and 2005. Head of Road Safety Unit of the Ministry of Transport since 1 October 2006.

CURRENT POSITION AND ACHIEVEMENTS

- Member of IRSA – Association Board
- Head of Road Safety Unit of the Ministry of Transport, Prague.
- Secretary of Czech Republic Governmental Council for Road Safety;
- Member of High Level Group on Road Safety at European Commission
- Member of PRI – La Prevention Routiere International on behalf of Ministry of Transport.
- One of the founders of The Action (Road Show) project in the Czech Republic – one of the most successful projects in road safety history – focused on novice drivers.
